Exercising with a Prolapse – Anything is possible!

You may have first noticed symptoms like heaviness in the pelvis or maybe a feeling like a Tampon “down there”!! Other symptoms include back and hip pain, constipation or trouble emptying the bladder and/or bowel and pain or discomfort during intimacy. Most of us struggle along with these symptoms for quite some time, it is a very private and personal thing so it takes a while before we feel ready to start the long process of getting help and a diagnosis.

For many women who have been diagnosed with a pelvic organ prolapse the list of things you cannot do really does make you feel like being active with a prolapse is impossible.

Well, we are here to tell you that it most definitely is possible to be healthy, active, and squat with this issue.  We have women in our community being as active as they want, managing their symptoms and confident that they are exercising safely and in a way that is prolapse friendly!!!!

We are all unique and special so this is not a one size fits all solution and to get you back to doing what you love, be that running, gym work, horse riding or just being able to go out for the day knowing you can get to the loo in time, is a slightly different journey for each of us.

But that journey starts with a conversation about you, how you feel, what your symptoms are and what you want to achieve.

This is the most important message that we want you to take away from reading this and that is one word, hope! There are real steps we put in place with women everyday which give them the knowledge and exercises to start getting back to what they love or what they want to achieve.

We have the tools you need to be able to rebuild and strengthen, improving your prolapse symptoms and your pelvic floor and we cannot wait to share our knowledge with you.
